Our History

Our company dates back to 1954, when Franco Marconcini—a designer, decorator, painter, and lover of beautiful things—began passionately dedicating himself to the woodworking and furniture industry. Thanks to his innate artistic talent and a craftsman’s eye for detail, Franco has set himself apart, building a track record of increasingly significant successes in the sale of furniture and home furnishings.

In 1974, Franco founded Tiemme Creazioni d’Arte, a small, artisanal company specializing in the construction and finishing of furniture. In 1981, their sons Massimiliano and Alberto joined the company, which was renamed Tiemme Mobili d’Arte. With the support of the entire family, the company evolved, and expanded by selling its products both on the Italian market and abroad, continuing to rely on traditional artisanal production while remaining constantly attentive to innovation. The company stands out for its reproduction of antique and vintage furniture, gaining ever-greater expertise in sourcing unique finishes and high-quality materials. In 1988, Tiemme began crafting handmade kitchens from solid wood, applying all the expertise in finishes and style it had acquired through its furniture-making. The ongoing evolution in the furniture and lifestyle sectors is driving an ever-increasing demand for personalized and custom-made furniture; the company is keeping pace by developing its in-house design capabilities to meet these increasingly personalized requests.

Today, Tiemme Mobili d’Arte is still a small company that passionately designs, develops, and creates beautiful kitchens and furniture built to last a lifetime.

A heartfelt thank you to Franco, our mentor in life, who—through his experience, gained over years of careful and meticulous work—has left us the legacy of knowing how to do our work well, so that we can best serve our customers.
